Bruce W. Sullivan, 59, of Cranbury, died in New York after a courageous fight against lung cancer.
A longtime resident of Cranbury, he was born in Passaic.
He was a proud graduate of Syracuse University, Class of 1970, he was a Deputy Regional Administrator for the U.S. Department of Labor, retiring in July 2008 after 30 years of service.
He was actively involved with the Cranbury Repertory Company where he acted and sang in many productions. He was an avid golfer and a New York Yankees and Syracuse sports fan.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Mary Jane Martin; his mother, Verna B. Sullivan of Morris Plains; a daughter, Julia Martin Sullivan of Cranbury; a son, Gregory Martin Sullivan of Cranbury; three sisters, Karen Gilmore, Pam Sullivan and Verna Imming; and a brother, Greg Sullivan.
Funeral services were Thursday, Oct. 23, at the Cranbury United Methodist Church, 21 N. Main St., Cranbury. The Rev. John M. Foster officiated. Interment followed in Westminster Cemetery, Cranbury. Relatives and friends called Wednesday, Oct. 22, at A.S. Cole Son & Co. Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St., Cranbury.
