Daisy Walk, carnival to take place Oct. 26

The sixth annual Camp Daisy Walk in the Park and Halloween Carnival will take place in Bicentennial Park, Hardenburg Lane, East Brunswick. The event, sponsored by the Daisy Association, raises funds to support existing recreation programs and develop new programs for people with disabilities.

Walk registration and check-in begins at noon. Registration costs $25 per family and $10 for individuals. Free tote bags filled with goodies will go to the first 300 youngsters who register.

The walk and trick-or-treating will begin at 1 p.m. and follow a path approximately one-mile long that winds through Bicentennial Park.

The Halloween Carnival will feature food, clowns, face painting, music, pumpkin painting, a costume contest, game booths, kids activities, a magician and raffles for prizes.

All proceeds benefit the Daisy Association and the Daisy Recreation Programs for children and young people with special needs.
