Haunted River Walk to benefit class of ’09

The class of 2009 of the Joyce Kilmer School, Milltown, will be holding the sixth annual Haunted River Walk, 7-9:30 p.m. Oct. 24, 25, 30 and 31 at the Mill Pond Park entrance at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Main Street in Milltown, adjacent to the Milltown Rescue Squad.

Patrons will walk the length of the park, approximately ¾ mile, and encounter ghouls, scares and numerous skits from fairytales gone bad. The event is not recommended for children under 10, those who are faint of heart and cannot handle bright flashes, fog, strobe lights or loud noises. A bus will take all participants back to the Rescue Squad at the completion of the walk.

Tickets can be purchased at the door and are $6 for students under 17, $8 for adults, and $4 for seniors. Refreshments will be sold.

Proceeds will benefit the class of 2009 for their school activities and class trip.

Rain date if needed is Nov. 1. Parking is limited to borough lots (Borough Hall, Milltown Library) and streets.
