Jose Antonio Vega

   EAST WINDSOR — Jose Antonio Vega, 59, died Saturday at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick.
   Born in Guayama, Puerto Rico, he lived in the United States for many years, settling with his family in East Windsor.
   Mr. Vega served in the U.S. Navy from 1968 to 1972, during the Vietnam War.
   He worked as a research specialist for CIBA Specialty in Tarrytown, N.Y. for more than 18 years. He belonged to the Society of Plastic Engineers. He also worked part-time as a personal trainer for Pro Fitness in East Windsor and Braun Research in Princeton.
   Mr. Vega is survived by his wife of 33 years, Vilma (nee Brignoni); sons Jose Antonio Vega Jr. and Nicolas Antonio Vega; brothers Juan Ricardo Vega, Jose Robles Jr.; sister Carmen Robles; and his mother and stepfather, Josefina Ortiz and Jose Robles.
   A funeral service was held at the Crabiel Memorial Funeral Home in Hightstown. Internment took place in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown.
