Soccer stars advance in Princeton’s Greatest

Two more second-round matchups underway

Former Princeton High soccer star and former head boys’ coach Ron Celestin, as well as former girls’ soccer goalkeeper Saskia Webber have advanced the the quarterfinals of the Princeton High’s Greatest Athlete Contest.
Celestin, who starred on the field and as a coach for the Little Tigers, received 79 percent of the vote to defeat former track star Wagner Marsielle. Webber, a standout goalkeeper who went on to play for the United States National Team, received 64 percent of the vote to defeat former basketball great Marv Trotman Sr.
Two more second-round matchups are now underway. Fomer lacrosse and football standout Jim Laverty opposes former cross country and track standout Royce Flippin in one matchup, while former football and basketball star Darius Young takes on former baseball, basketball and football standout Tim Rumer in the other matchup.
