If you thought you saw snow Tuesday morning, it wasn’t your imagination — wet snow mixed with rain Tuesday morning in the area as temperatures dipped into the 30s.
The National Weather Service warned Tuesday of possibly heavy precipitation, high winds and slippery road conditions throughout the day and into the night. Wind speeds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts of 40 mph were forecast, and the high in the Bordentown area was expected to be 43 degrees.
The wintry weather was expected to continue into Tuesday night, with a low around 36 degrees, continued rain and snow showers, and high winds. Wednesday could see a repeat of the same conditions, with a high of 48 degrees and continued precipitation and wind.
The National Weather Service is urging extra caution on the roads.
