Helene Marilyn Cody, 16, of Cranbury, died on her 16th birthday from a brain aneurysm and surrounded by her loving family.
She was a lifelong Cranbury resident and Princeton High School sophomore.
Helene was an active member of the Youth Group of the First Presbyterian Church of Cranbury. She was a runner on cross country and track teams for Princeton High School. She was a People to People delegate in 2005 to the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Helene was an active member of Girl Scouts for more than 10 years where she earned the Bronze and Silver Awards and was working toward her Gold Award.
She is survived by her parents, Linda and Win Cody; her sister, Jenna; her grandparents, Buck and Marilyn Cody; her grandfather, Frank Morris; and a large extended family.
A Funeral Service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at the First Presbyterian Church of Cranbury, 22 S. Main St., Cranbury, N.J. 08512. Interment will follow in Brainerd Cemetery, Cranbury. Relatives and friends may call 1 to 3 p.m. and from 6 to 9 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 30, at the A. S. Cole Son & Co. Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St. Cranbury, N.J.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made payable to the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 22 S. Main St., Cranbury, N.J. 08512 in order for her family to establish a Helene Marilyn Cody Foundation.
