The Lawrence High School boys soccer team had trouble handling West Windsor-Plainsboro South in the second half the last two times the Cardinals played the Pirates.
WW-P South shut out Lawrence, 4-0, in the first round of the Mercer County Tournament on Saturday. The Pirates scored three second-half goals after scoring a go-ahead goal in the first half.
Chris Ball made 10 saves for the Cardinals in the loss.
Lawrence lost to the Pirates, 7-1, last Tuesday. The Cardinals matched WW-P South, 1-1, in the first half, but gave up six unanswered goals in the second half.
Ryan McCarthy scored the lone goal with an assist from Paul Grant Jr.
Lawrence also lost to Hightstown, 4-1, on Thursday.
Colin Anderson scored the lone Lawrence goal in the second half. The Rams went ahead with a goal in the first half and scored three more in the second half.
The Cardinals were scheduled to play Nottingham in a Mercer County Tournament Consolation game yesterday.
