For Barrett, Camarota, Carley

Anthony and Janet Campisano, Kendall Park
This Election Day, Nov. 4, South Brunswick residents will make important choices for several political offices, including the next president. No one needs to be told about the challenges that all elected officials will have to face in the coming years.
Fortunately, on the local level, the three incumbent council members — Carol Barrett, Charles Carley and Joe Camarota — make the decision of whom to vote for an easy one.
Why? Here are just a few of the reasons:
South Brunswick is the leader among all Middlesex County municipalities in the area of open space acquisition and preservation. Almost 8,500 acres in the township have been purchased or set aside for recreational purposes or preservation as farmland. The Township Council’s aggressive approach to preservation of open space ensures that our township will remain a great place to live, despite the rampant development throughout the rest of the state.
In regard to municipal services, all of our township roads are in good condition and the Department of Public Works does an excellent job in the wintertime clearing snow and ice.
The crime rate is the township has dropped during the past few years, our recreational facilities, such as parks, have increased or been improved and the Community Center on New Road is being expanded and renovated.
It is truly remarkable that with all of these accomplishments, our municipal tax rate has remained one of the lowest in Middlesex County.
The implementation of the new SMART transit bus system is a forward-thinking solution to easing traffic on the roads.
Anyone who objectively analyzes the track records of council members Barrette, Carley and Camarota must come to the conclusion that they have done a very good job while in office. Consequently, they are deserving of re-election.
We urge all South Brunswick voters to support the Democratic candidates, Carol Barrett, Charles Carley and Joe Camarota for re-election.
