MANVILLE Kenneth Harold Deitrich, 61, died Oct. at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in Somerville, to his late parents Harry Andrew and Blanche (Gruszynski) Deitrich, he was a lifelong resident of Manville.
Mr. Deitrich was honorably discharged from the United States Navy as a yeoman having served on the USS Richard S. Edwards out of San Diego. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam and after returning home he became a member of the Thomas J. Kavanaugh Post 2290 Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Vietnam Veterans Association.
He had been an employee at Hoechst Celanese in Branchburg, and was a member of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Manville.
Mr. Dietrich is survived by his wife Jo Ann (De Angelis) Deitrich; three children, Kevin and Jennifer Deitrich of Manville and Kristen Cumming and her husband Daniel of Burlington; his brother, Bruce Deitrich and his wife Kim of Clinton Township; and three nieces and a nephew.
Funeral services were held Oct. 24 from Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, followed by burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
