CHEER/GYMNASTICS
   A Cheer/Gymnastics Clinic will be held Nov. 6-7 at Montgomery High School for children in grades 1-8. Campers will divide their days learning the skills and techniques of a gymnast with cheers, dances and stunts of a cheerleader. Children of all abilities and experiences are welcome. Emphasis will be based more on fun game play than skill development.
   The program runs from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. each day and participants should bring a bagged lunch and water. Snacks will be provided. The instructors will be Johanna Snedeker, head gymnastics coach at Montgomery High, Christina Venetucci, physical education co-advisor, and members of the Class of 2011. The event will be a fundraiser for the Class of 2011. The cost is $120.

WW-P HOOPS
   The West Windsor-Plainsboro Basketball Association will be holding its final open registration for all of its leagues (grades 3-12) on Saturday, Nov. 1 from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Plainsboro Municipal Building – Room D, (Plainsboro Road).
   Coaches are needed for all age groups, as the commitment is a one hour game on Saturdays, and one hour week night practice (grades 5-12), and an hour and a half on Saturdays (grades 3rd & 4th). The program is open to any child who wants to play basketball.

FALROONEY CUP
   Students in grades 2-6 are welcome to come and compete for a two-day FalRooney Cup. There will be team and individual events, games, competitions, obstacle relays and much more. All events will be based on a point system. The teams will compete to see which team can earn the most points to be crowned champions and win the FalRooney Cup. Some of the events include Dodge Ball, Capture the Flag, sprints, throwing contests, scooters and basketball shooting.
   Each day will end with a fun cool down activity. Favorite game shows will be used where the contestants compete for more team points. Players from each team will get a chance to take center stage and play “Show Me the Points,” “Let’s Make a Deal,” “FalRooney Idol,” “FalRooney Trivia” and a game from the new hot TV show “Deal or No Deal.”
   Join us for a fun and exciting two-day challenge where we concentrate on teaching teamwork and outstanding sportsmanship all while getting a lot of exercise! It’s like going to school but attending gym class all day.
   The event will be held Nov. 6-7 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Otto Kaufman Community Center in Montgomery. The cost is $99. The director is Johnny Rooney and assistant directors are Suzanne Trautwein, Mike Falco and Erich Trautwein. The supporting staff will be made up of Montgomery High student athletes.

DILLON BASKETBALL
   Registration is underway for the 39th season of the Dillon Recreational Basketball League. League play is for boys and girls in grades 4-9. Games are played on Saturday mornings at Dillon Gym with each team practicing one night per week at John Witherspoon Middle School.
   The Dillon League is open to Princeton residents and non-residents who attend school in Princeton. Registration forms are available at the Princeton Recreation Department office or forms can be downloaded from the department website at www.princetonrecreation.com. Registration deadline is Nov. 14.

LACROSSE TRYOUTS
   Central Jersey Select Lacrosse, an elite lacrosse program sponsored by the Bobby Campbell Foundation, is holding tryouts on for its Summer 2009 league. The tryouts will be held on Nov. 2 at Stuart Country Day School. The times for high school girls (grades 9-11) are from 1-2:30 p.m. and for middle school girls (grades 6-8) from 2:30-4 p.m.
   Athletes must arrive a half hour prior to tryout, and must bring a water bottle and a $20 registration check made payable to Central Jersey Select 2009 Summer Tryouts.
   Central Jersey Select was formed to provide youth lacrosse players with a competitive team environment in which they can continue to develop and showcase their lacrosse skills. There will be approximately 12 to 15 practice sessions in June and July and participation in five weekend tournaments including Lax for the Cure, Club Championship and National Draw.

RIDER SOFTBALL
   Rider University will host a pair of one-day softball clinics in February. On Feb. 1, there will be a hitting clinic from 9 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. On Feb. 22, there will be a total offense clinic from 9 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.
   The clinics will be held indoors at Rider;s Student Recreation Center. Team pricing and discounts are available.

PSA REC SOCCER
   Go! Princeton Soccer is a recreational program for players ages under-5 to under-15. The program features small-sided games that result in more playing time, more touches on the ball, and more fun. Players of all ability levels are welcome and there are no tryouts.
   The Go! Princeton Soccer Recreational Program will continue each Saturday until Nov. 15. The U-5 through U-11 programs will be held at Community Park and the U-12 through U-15 Middle School Program will be held at Farm View Field.

PSA TRAVEL ACADEMY
   The Princeton Soccer Association Travel Development Academy is a cutting edge program that features small-sided games that results in more playing time, more touches on the ball, and more fun.
   The TDA Program will continue until Nov. 15. Training will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays for the boys academy and Tuesdays and Thursdays for the girls academy.

ELITE THROWING
   The Elite Throwing and Development training is geared to help get throwers arms ready for the spring season. The training program can help generate more velocity and greater distance on throws. No matter the sport, no matter the age group, the program is designed to help.

MONTGOMERY SOCCER
   Registration is now open for the MTSC Youth Development Program for the fall 2008 season. This soccer program is available to youth 5-9 years of age, regardless of skill level or experience.
   Professional trainers and trained volunteers guide players through a curriculum that emphasizes development over winning, player time on the ball and small-sided games as a teaching approach. Optional travel is offered to older players.

PAWS WRESTLING
   The Princeton Recreation Department is now accepting registration for the PAWS and Tiger Cubs Youth Wrestling programs. Princeton Amateur Wrestling Society (PAWS) is a combination of instruction and match competition that takes place at Jadwin Gymnasium at Princeton University. Practice takes place two nights per week as well on some Saturdays early in the season. PAWS is open to boys and girls in grades 3-8. The program is open to interested participants of all skill levels and beginners are welcome.
   The Tiger Cubs program is an introductory wrestling program for kids in grades K – 2. The program will meet on Saturday mornings beginning Nov. 15 at Jadwin Gym. The coaching staff will emphasize the importance of stretching, physical fitness and following instructions. One wrestling concept will be introduced each week. Competition will be de-emphasized in the Tiger Cubs program.
