Paul J. Swick

   MANVILLE — Paul J. Swick died on Oct. 29 at home after a long illness. He was 75.
   Born in Hazelton, Pa., he and his wife, Stella, moved to Manville in 1961.
   Mr. Swick served during the Korean War and was a lifetime member of the Thomas J. Kavanaugh Post 2290 Veterans of Foreign Wars.
   He was employed for 30 years with Johns Manville in Manville and was inducted in the Quarter Century Club in 1980. In 1995, after 10 years of service, he retired from the Franklin Township Public Works Department.
   He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville where he also served as an usher. He was also an accomplished accordion player and formed his own band, The Stardusters.
   Mr. Swick was predeceased by his parents and his brother, John Swick.
   He is survived by his wife, Stella, with whom he celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary on May 10. He is also survived by his son, Paul J. and his wife, Gloria Swick of Portland, Ore; his daughter, Janet and her husband, Robert Comerford of Holland Township; three grandchildren, Brian, Kristin and Kelly Comerford of Holland Township.
   Funeral services were held Saturday from Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 S. Main St., Manville, followed by burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
