National, local races before voters

Residents will join the nation in voting Tuesday, but in addition to choosing a president and deciding a number of congressional seats, many local towns will also have municipal elections this year.
    Polls in Bordentown City, Bordentown Township, Chesterfield, Fieldsboro, Florence, Mansfield, New Hanover, North Hanover, and Springfield will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
    In Bordentown City, residents vote at the Carslake Community Center on Crosswicks Street. There is no municipal race in Bordentown City.
    In Bordentown Township, Districts 1 and 7 vote at Township Hall on Municipal Drive, Districts 2 and 3 at Mission Fire Company on Groveville Road, Districts 4, 5 and 8 at the Senior Center on Municipal Drive, and District 6 at Northern Community Park on Groveville Road. Two three-year seats and one unexpired one-year seat are available on the Township Committee. Incumbent Republicans Bruce Hill and Robert Delaney will face Democrats Stephen Monson and Jason Medina for the three-year seats, and Republican Anita Di Mattia will face Democrat Jim Cann for the one-year seat.
    In Chesterfield, voting will take place at the Chesterfield Fire Department building on Bordentown-Chesterfield Road. One three-year seat is available on the Township Committee. Incumbent Republican Lawrence H. Durr will not have a challenger on the Democratic ticket.
    In Fieldsboro, residents will vote at the Municipal Building on Washington Street. Two three-year seats are available on the Borough Council, with incumbent Democrats David Hansell and Harry Brown running unopposed.
    Florence voters in Ward 1, District 1 vote at the Florence Township Library on Hornberger and Sixth Avenues, District 2 at the Firehouse on Main Street in Roebling and Seventh Avenue, and District 3 in the Pensioners’ Room in the library.
    Ward 2: Districts 1 and 2 vote at the Fire Department on Firehouse Lane and District 3 votes at the Fountain of Life Center on Burlington-Columbus Road.
    Ward 3 voters vote at the Municipal Complex on Broad Street. Districts 1 and 3 voters should report to the courtroom and District 2 voters to the conference room.
    Districts 1, 7 and 8 voters in Mansfield report to the 500 Building of Northern Burlington County Regional High School on Mansfield Road East, Districts 2 and 3 at Township Hall on East Main Street, Districts 4 and 5 at the Homestead Retirement Home on Homestead Drive, and District 6 at Four Seasons on Ambrose Drive.  Republican incumbents Arthur Puglia and Kenneth Dentiare running unopposed.
    In North Hanover, District 1 voters report to the public side of the Community Center and District 2 voters to the senior side on Schoolhouse Road. District 3 voters vote in the meeting room of the municipal building on Schoolhouse Road. Incumbent Republican Lou DeLorenzo will face Democrat Kim South.
    Voters in New Hanover vote at the municipal building on Hockamick Road. Four candidates seek two three-year seats on the Township Committee. Two Republican incumbents, George Ivins and Paul Peterla, will face two newcomers, Democrats Salvatore Schiano, Jr., and Michael C. Hill, Jr.
    Springfield voters in District 1 vote at the municipal building on Jacksonville-Jobstown Road, District 2 voters at the Jacksonville Community Center on Jacksonville-Jobstown Road, and District 3 voters at the Juliustown Fire Company on Lewistown Road. One three-year seat is open on the Township Committee. Democrat newcomer Roger Lord is running against Republicans John Hlubik and David Frank.
