Western Monmouth Habitat for Humanity held its ninth annual Motorcycle Ride for Affordable Housing on Oct. 5, raising $55,000 to build a home for a disabled veteran. There were close to 800 riders involved, the highest number to date.
The success of the ride would not have been possible without the dedication, support, hard work and generosity of all who participated.
Many thanks to our incredible merchant sponsors: Harley-Davidson/Buell of Long Branch; AMC Theaters; Thrivent Financial; The Cabin; Catering by Alex; The Breeze, 107.1; Falcon Printing; Freehold Savings and Loan; Trenton World-Class Harley- Davidson; Builders’ General; 1-800-LAW- 4-HOGS; Computer Troubleshooters; Mr. John; Freehold Honda; Stumpy’s Yamaha; Rider Insurance; and, aRZee.
We also want to thank the Freehold Township, Colts Neck and Manalapan police departments and the New Jersey State Police for maintaining the safety of our riders and keeping roads along the route safe for all concerned.
There are also many, many volunteers who worked tirelessly before, during and after the ride to help make it a success. Thanks to all of you for all you do to help Western Monmouth Habitat for Humanity provide affordable housing in our area.
