It is too easy for illegal aliens to get a license

Almost a month ago I wrote a letter, which I sent to every member of the Michigan Legislature, the governor and the attorney general regarding an illegal alien living in New Jersey who went to Michigan and came back with a new license and registration for the van he drives to his job in New Jersey each day for two years.

I have received one response. I forwarded it with a preface to members of New Jersey’s Legislature, the governor, the attorney general, county prosecutors, Homeland Security, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement … not one response.

I had an 80-year-old decorated World War II veteran in tears since they would not renew his license without “six points,” without a birth certificate that was not issued for his home birth in 1926 in rural New Jersey … his Navy discharge papers, no good. His marriage license, no good.

His proof of 30 years in the state forestry department as a fireman, no good. His Bronze Star won during his years in the Pacific theater, meaningless. It took trips to Trenton, hours of research and waiting in lines and weeks for me to resolve his situation.

This man was brought to tears in the name of homeland security, yet here we have an illegal alien, using phony ID to secure phony ID from a border state that has a lax system, that is well known now in the illegal alien communities.

I submitted the license plate number from Michigan and the employer ID number where he has been working full time for two years, and no one seems to care.
