Library film festival to conclude Nov. 9

The East Brunswick Public Library will conclude its Fine Films Festival with a screening of “The Visitor” on Nov. 9. Showings are at 1:30 and 7:30 p.m. Martha Hess, information services librarian, will be on hand to introduce the film. Admission is free and everyone is welcome. This film festival is sponsored by the East Brunswick Friends of the Library.

“The Vistor,” USA, 2008, is 103 minutes, and rated PG-13, drama. Walter Vale, a widowed college professor, leads a solitary life until he meets a Syrian immigrant and his Senegalese girlfriend in New York City. To repay Walter for giving them a place to stay, the young man teaches his benefactor the art of African drumming, revitalizing Walter’s spirit and reawakening his passion for life.
