BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP — A 43-year-old township woman was struck and killed by a car as she crossed Route 206 near Spruce Avenue on Friday, according to police.
Police said Samantha Fischer, of Crosswicks Road, was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck at 7:20 p.m. by a southbound 2004 Hyundai SUV driven by Justine Stoutenger of Levittown, Pa.
Both southbound lanes of Route 206 were shut down until 10:13 p.m. The accident is under investigation by township police. No charges had been filed as of Wednesday afternoon, police said.
