The Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce recently announced the formation of a new chapter for the Greater Bordentown area business community. In keeping with its mission to address specific business needs in its member municipalities, the MRCC has expanded its reach into northern Burlington County, making it the chamber’s seventh chapter.
“Our Chamber’s ‘Chapters’ are an effective way for our members to address issues of a local nature. We have seen a great sense of collegiality develop out of our chapters and are looking forward to experiencing the same in Bordentown” said Chamber President and CEO, Michele Siekerka.
The group is chaired by Michael Burkitt, partner of HeartSTONE Group, LLC (a Primepoint company) in Bordentown. MRCC liaison Art Cianfano stated, “the new chapter is intended to be inclusive and hopes to become a collaborative partner with the Northern Burlington Chamber of Commerce, the Downtown Bordentown Business Association and other community groups working toward the common goal of improving our region’s economy and general quality of life”.
Regular meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of each month at which time major business initiatives will be identified and forums planned to provide open dialogue about such topics as attracting and retaining business in the region. Additionally, the monthly meetings will include a networking component to facilitate members referring one another to new business opportunities. The next meeting will be held on Nov. 11 at Primepoint, 163 Route 130, Bordentown.
The ceremonial launch of the Greater Bordentown Chapter is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 25 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Alstarz on Route 206 in Bordentown located next to Mastoris Diner. This cash bar event will provide an opportunity to network with area business people in a relaxed atmosphere. To register for the kick-off event call 609-689-9960 or online at mercerchamber.org, admission is free for Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce members and pre-registered guests, and $10 for all others.
