Eloise A. Rocca, 43, of Windsor Regency Apartments, was charged Monday with child endangerment and simple assault.
Police said a 15-year-old girl called at 7 a.m. to report that an adult female in her home had assaulted her.
An investigation revealed Ms. Rocca had struck the victim on the left leg with a belt, leaving a welt, police said.
The victim did not require medical attention, according to police.
Brandon A. King, 19, of Julia Court, was charged Oct. 23 with possession of heroin, possession of fewer than 50 grams of marijuana and numerous other drug and motor vehicle-related offenses.
Police said they stopped his car at 7:50 p.m. on Route 133 for speeding. The officer saw loose marijuana on the front passenger side floor and a search of the car revealed small plastic bags of heroin and marijuana and a smoking pipe, police said.
Mr. King also was charged with possession of narcotics paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, speeding, and having an obstructed view.
Officials at Ethel McKnight Elementary school reported that a rock shattered a school window between 12:45 p.m. and 1 p.m. Oct. 24. The damage was estimated at $475.
Jing-Lan Ku, 60, of Sheffield Road, was charged Oct. 24 with shoplifting. Police said he concealed a bottle of mouthwash, valued at $6, while in the Shop-Rite store on Route 130, and left without paying for it.
Police said officials at the Shop-Rite store on Route 130 reported two mountain bikes stolen from the store’s display rack between 1:40 p.n. and 8 p.m. Oct. 24. One was a green Trek bicycle valued at $250, the other was a blue Mongoose bicycle valued at $200. Both bicycles were left unsecured on the rack, according to police.
Edgar Samba, 28, of Hightstown, was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated.
Police said they stopped his car at 2:30 a.m. on Route 130 when officers saw it turning without a direction signal.
Mr. Samba also was charged with reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, failure to use a directional signal, driving with a suspended license, being an unlicensed driver, careless driving and failure to wear a seatbelt.
Police said a woman reported leaving her purse at the Regal Cinemas on Route 130, and when she returned to retrieve it at 11:40 a.m. Sunday, $300 in cash was missing.
Hightstown
Michael Ansul, 46, of Townsend, Del., was charged Sunday with possession of fewer than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while intoxicated, and several other violations.
Police said they stopped Mr. Ansul at 8:14 p.m. on Rogers Avenue after seeing him driving with no headlights on. While stopping, he hit a curb with his front and back tires, police reported. Police said Mr. Ansul then admitted to recently smoking a pipe containing marijuana.
Mr. Ansul also was charged with driving while intoxicated in a school zone, careless driving, reckless driving, headlights required, having a controlled dangerous substance within a motor vehicle, use of a CDS, and failure to maintain lane.
Someone entered an unlocked vehicle in the driveway of a residence in the 200 block of Summit Street between 8 p.m. Oct. 18 and 6:30 a.m. Oct. 20 and took a purse and a set of earphones.
Dilcia Martinez, 36, of Morrison Avenue, was charged Saturday with contempt of court. Police said they stopped her at 7:11 p.m. on Morrison Avenue after a random license plate check revealed a $228 Burlington Township.
Teresa Lipick, 38, of Trenton, was charged Oct. 24 with contempt of court. Police said they stopped her at 4:28 p.m. on Academy Street after a random license plate check revealed a $117 Hightstown warrant.
Stephen Mandarano, 39, of Clover Lane, turned himself in to Hightstown police at 11:06 p.m. Oct. 23 on a $115 Robbinsville warrant.
