LAMBERTVILLE: Police Blotter-Nov. 6, 2008

Lambertville 
   Brandon Lane, 28, of Washington Crossing, Pa., was charged with drug possession following an accident Friday.
   Police said the accident occurred on North Union Street near Bridge Street at 8:50 p.m.
   Mr. Lane hit another vehicle while driving in the opposite direction, police said. Both vehicles had minor damage. There were no injuries.
   Mr. Lane has two decks of heroin as well as drug paraphernalia with him, police said.
   He was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a vehicle and careless driving.
   He was released without bail.
   Two men were taken to the hospital and another to jail after a fight broke out at a Lambertville residence Sunday.
   Police were called a little after 3 a.m. for a report of three men fighting, police said. The fight still was going on when police arrived.
   Police said Thomas Viventi, 28, of Lambertville became involved in what they called an “alcohol-influenced” argument with James Noack, 28, of Harrison, N.J.
   Mr. Viventi allegedly hit Mr. Noack in the face with a beer bottle, causing a laceration over the eye.
   Mr. Viventi’s brother, Steven Viventi, tried to stop the fight, but also was injured, receiving a large laceration on his back, police said.
   Both Mr. Noack and Steven Viventi were taken to Hunterdon Medical Center for treatment.
   Thomas Viventi was charged with aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapon. He was taken to the Hunterdon County Jail in lieu of $1,500.
   Mr. Noack was charged with assault with bail set at $1,000.
   Police were assisted by officers from West Amwell and Delaware townships.
   Eric Davis, 23, of Titusville was arrested on a warrant after being stopped in his vehicle Saturday.
   Police said Mr. Davis was stopped on Coryell Street at 2 a.m. for a broken headlight. Police said he had a warrant for failure to appear on traffic charges in Lawrence Township.
   He was charged with failure to maintain lamps and released on $81 bail.
   Victor Cleary, 44, of West Amwell was charged with several offenses after a domestic dispute Oct. 26.
   Police were called to a Lambertville residence at 6:20 p.m. As they arrived, they were told Mr. Cleary had left and was possibly intoxicated.
   Police saw Mr. Cleary on his motorcycle on York Street. When police tried to stop him, he allegedly began driving erratically and ran a stop sign on Route 179.
   On Route 179, Mr. Cleary sped up and lost police, police said. He pulled behind his house and fled on foot into a wooded area, police said.
   With help from West Amwell police, the area was searched, but Mr. Cleary was not found.
   Mr. Cleary turned himself into police later that night.
   He was charged with two counts of harassment and trespassing in relation to the domestic dispute. He also was charged with felony eluding, reckless driving, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, failure to stop and failure to keep right.
   He was released without bail.
West Amwell 
   Oct. 28 at 9:26 a.m., there was a two-vehicle head-on crash on Linvale-Harbourton Road, south of Route 31.
   Melinda Rushton, 26, of Drexel Hill, Pa., was going north when she lost control on the snow-covered road, crossed into the south lane and hit a vehicle driven by Brenda Rivera, 44, of Whitehall, Pa.
   Both drivers had minor chest injuries, police said, and were taken to Hunterdon Medical Center for treatment by the Amwell Valley Ambulance Corps.
   No tickets were issued.
   Oct. 30 at 2:50 p.m., police went to the Educational Services Commission School on Route 179 for a report of a student out of control on a school bus.
   Police said staff got the 17-year-old under control. The incident began on the bus when the girl started yelling at the bus driver en route to Trenton, police said.
   The driver turned around and went back to the school.
   Friday at 9:09 a.m., police went to the Educational Services Commission School on Route 179 for a report of a student in possession of a weapon.
   Police charged a 14-year-old juvenile from Trenton with possession of straight-edge razor blade.
   School officials found the blade in the pocket of his jacket and called police.
   The juvenile was released to an adult.
   There were five accidents due to collisions with deer, police reported, but no one was injured in any of the incidents.
