MANVILLE John Magulak, 89, died Sunday at Somerset Medical Center.
Mr. Magulak was born in Bound Brook and lived in Manville for the last 50 years.
He served in the U.S. Army in World War II.
Mr. Magulak worked for the Union Carbide Corporation in Bound Brook for 43 years, before retiring in 1981.
He was a member of American Legion Post 12 in Somerville, the Thomas Kavanaugh Post 2290 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Exempt Fireman’s Association in Bound Brook.
Mr. Magulak was also an actively member of Christ the King Church.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, John and Cathy Magulak of Hillsborough; daughters and sons-in-law Linda and Gerard Pienta of Hillsborough, and Joanne and Al Ludwig Staten Island, N.Y., and five grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. andf 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesdya at Ketusky Funeral Home on Brooks Boulevard. Funeral services will be held at 8:15 a.m. Thursday from Ketusky Funeral Home, follow by a 9 a.m. Mass at Christ the King Church. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
