Florence C. Giehl

FLORENCE — Florence C. “Pete” Giehl, 87, of Roebling, died Nov. 6 at home. Mrs. Giehl was born in Bordentown Township; she was the daughter of the late Leon and Hannah Dubell Carty and resided in Roebling for the past 38 years.
    Mrs. Giehl was retired from the New Jersey State Police, West Trenton, with 25 years of service. Florence loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
    She is survived by her husband of 39 Years, Helmuth “Ham“ Giehl of Roebling; daughter, June Richardson of Burlington; son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Debbie Heydorn of Maine; daughter and son-in-law, Fran and Jimmy Collura of N.C.; daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Barry Oros of Roebling; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews
    Funeral services were held Sunday at Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, 1115 Hornberger Ave., Roebling with Pastor John Grove officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Bordentown Cemetery.
