Students from 20 Roman Catholic schools in Burlington, Mercer, Monmouth and Ocean counties recently took part in the 19th annual Make A Difference Day on Oct. 25 and completed “Deeds for Dollars” to raise money and awareness for Project Paul’s food pantry and thrift shop in Keansburg. The program assigns a monetary value to good deeds performed by participating students such as raking leaves, and making beds. The total amount in pledges for the deeds was $3,500. Local schools taking part in the program were St. Mary, New Monmouth section of Middletown, Holy Cross, Rumson, and St. Leo the Great, Lincroft section of Middletown.
