Mr. Hill, 62, of East Brunswick, formerly of South River, died Oct. 22, 2008, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. He began his career as a Middlesex County senior probation officer in New Brunswick, where he founded and directed the Middlesex County Probation Incentive Program Promoting Individual Needs (PIPPIN), an organization designed to motivate high school dropouts to return to their education and find employment. Prior to his retirement in 2007, he was director of the Offices of the Courts of the State of New Jersey Juvenile Incentive Supervision Program (JISP). He was a sports-broadcast analyst with East Brunswick cable Channel 8 and South River TV35. Surviving are his wife, Sandra Pearson Hill; a daughter, Michelle Hill Klausner, and her husband, Jon; a son, Philip Justin “Juice” Hill; four brothers, Malik Hamid, and his wife, Selmah, of Orange, Carl of South River, Max Jr. of New Brunswick and Troy, and his wife, Lisa, of New Kensington, Pa.; three sisters, Yvonne Hill and Phyllis Hill, both of South River, and Bridget Hill of East Brunswick; a godson, Scott Harris of Maryland; two grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. Services were held at Union Baptist Church, South River. Interment was in Franklin Memorial Park Cemetery, North Brunswick. Arrangements were under the direction of Anderson Funeral Service, New Brunswick.
