Princeton’s cool places are in Philadelphia

John Cocking of Princeton
Before I moved to Princeton in 2004, I asked my doctor at Kaiser Santa Clara, Calif., a Princeton graduate, where the cool places in Princeton were. He said he and his brother who attended Villanova went to Philadelphia or New York.
How true. With city government hostile to humans — witness the lack of parking and the punitive parking tickets — our fun dollars are spent elsewhere. I suggest the old white liberals running the town take look at Santa Cruz, Calif. whose city council is further left than Lenin but welcoming of tourists and day-trippers. What is hipper than Santa Cruz and the UCSC banana slugs? Get real Princeton.
