Route 18 bank robbed

EAST BRUNSWICK — Police are looking for a lone suspect who robbed the TD Bank on Route 18 Tuesday.

Around 12:10 p.m., a white male in his 20s entered the bank and handed the teller a note. After securing an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect left the area on foot and was last seen walking towards the Brunswick Square Mall parking lot.

Police received a holdup alarm during the robbery, and as units responded, it was confirmed that a holdup had taken place. However, officers were not able to locate the suspect.

He was described as approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall, between the ages of 20 and 30, and dressed in a gray jacket with a tan baseball-style cap.

No weapon was shown during the robber, and no injuries were reported.
