Mrs. Cate, 78, of Hazlet, died Nov. 2, 2008, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was predeceased by her husband, Burrell “Jack” Cate, in 2006; and her siblings, Patsy and Joseph Giglio, and Phyllis Nemeth. She is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Pasquale and Maureen Giglio of Juno, Fla.; a sister-in-law, Mary Giglio of the Avenel section of Woodbridge; three sons and daughters-in-law, Buddy and Linda Cate of the Cliffwood section of Aberdeen, Joseph and Terese Cate of Howell, and John and Monica Cate of Jackson; two daughters and sons-in-law, Darla and Robert Stoop of Keansburg, and Donna Cate and Richard Brenner of Union Beach; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
