LEVITTOWN, Pa. Margaret M. Shea, 87, of Galilee Village,Levittown, Pa., died Tuesday at Chandler Hall Hospice, Newtown, Pa.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident. Raised in Hamilton, she attended the Trenton public schools and Trenton Business School.
She was employed as a bookkeeper with Smith, Kline and French for 15 years and with Winan’s Reliance Paper Company for 10 years. In 1985, she retired from Carter-Wallace Pharmaceuticals in East Windsor after 10 years of service.
She was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Women’s Army Corps.
She was a lifetime member of the Falls Township American Legion and a lifetime member of the Enterprise Fire Co. of Hamilton Township.
She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, St. Joseph the Worker Seniors, the Falls Township Seniors, and the Young at Heart Choral Group. She was a past Vice president of the St. Ignatius Seniors, and enjoyed traveling, spending time with friends and having a great time wherever she went.
Daughter of the late Timothy Joseph and Margaret (Manning) Lyden, wife of the late Kenneth J. Shea Sr., and sister of the late John J. Lyden, she is survived by son and daughter-in-law Kenneth J. and Linda M. Sheaof Fallsington, Pa.; two granddaughters and their husbands, Colleen and Lee Koller of Enola, Pa. and Michele and William Egan of Cranford; great-grandsons Jacob, Michael, and Ryan Koller; her best friend and travel companion Bunny Verderese; and several nieces and cousins.
A funeral mass was held at St. Joseph the Worker Church, Levittown, Pa.. Interment followed in St. Mary Cemetery, Trenton.
