HILLSBOROUGH — A Van Bolton Road home suffered moderate damage to the second floor master bedroom and adjacent hallway in a structure fire Saturday at 9:59 p.m.
Police reported there was heavy smoke and flames coming from the upper level of the house when they arrived at the scene.
The four people present at the home at the time were able to evacuate the house with their dog before police arrived. No injuries were reported.
According to police, the fire was quickly extinguished and contained to only the one residence.
The Hillsborough Township Police Department and Hillsborough Township Fire Safety Bureau are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
