Mrs. Kowalski, 85, of Freehold Township, died Nov. 4, 2008, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Colts Neck and had resided in Freehold before moving to Freehold Township. Mrs. Kowalski was employed at the New Jersey Department of Labor Employment Services, Freehold, before her retirement. Her husband, Edward Kowalski, died in 1974. A daughter, Bonnie Kowalski, died May 29, 2008. Surviving are a son and daughter in-law, Kennedy E. and Sally Kowalski; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jacqueline and Larry Glovich and Connie Kowalski; three brothers, James F. Higgins, John J. Higgins and Robert C. Higgins, all of Freehold; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
