Beacon Fine Arts gallery in Red Bank will host a show of impressionist landscape paintings by Canadian artist Scott Addis.
The exhibit will open Saturday with an artist reception 5-9 p.m.
In an artist’s statement, Addis explains:
“My paintings are an expression of mood or emotion within a design that allows a window in for people to see what they want or need to see. Whether the work is moody — angry or brooding — joyful or exciting — restive or peaceful, the colors and brushwork allow me as an artist to both experience and express what I am feeling.
Addis has exhibited in the U.S., Canada and Europe, and his work hangs in corporate, public and private collections.
Beacon Fine Arts is located at 61 Monmouth St. in Red Bank. Gallery hours are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday by appointment, Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday 1-6 p.m. For more information, call 732-936-0888 or visit www.beaconfine-artsgallery.org.
