‘Jersey Shore Jam’ benefit Nov. 23

The non-profit organization Bridges of Peace will host a “Jersey Shore Jam” benefit concert at The Headliner in Neptune City, Nov. 23, from 3 to 8 p.m. Headlining the show is Gary U.S. Bonds and the Roadhouse Rockers. Also lending their talents to this show are many local bands, including Bob Burger, Jody Joseph and the Average Joes, Boccigalupe and the Bad Boys, The Intentions, Ray Korona, and The Rock&Roll Chorus along with special guests.

Tickets are on sale now for $25. Purchase online at brownpapertickets.com or go to www.bridgepeace.org. Patrons must be 21 and over with ID. Event sponsors and program advertisers are also sought.

Proceeds benefit the establishment of Beth Miriam, a “House of Hospitality” in Jersey City where women leaving prison will learn to be productive members of society and get a second chance.

A Bridges of Peace “Help a Child Through a Soldier” drive will also take place at the event. Stuffed toys and other items for children will be sent to Iraq and distributed to the Iraqi children by our U.S. military. The goal is to help a child in need and to bridge relations between the U.S. soldiers and the local people. Suggested items include stuffed toys, clothes, new shoes, school supplies, children’s books, soccer balls, dolls and art supplies.
