Leaving leaves where they fall

Anne Robotti of Princeton
Regarding Stephen Hiltner’s Nov. 11 letter on autumn leaves: Stephen, will you marry me? I’ve been saying this for the entire 12 years we’ve lived here, enduring the glares of my neighbors and defiantly keeping my leaves where they belong — on the ground. It’s not easy, but I’m sick of looking at lawns manicured with nail scissors.
