Phil Hinck, Monmouth Beach, recently received The Odd Fellows Spirit Award from The Arthritis Foundation, New Jersey Chapter, at its 2008 Arthritis Foundation's Volunteer Recognition Event. The award recognizes a volunteer who embodies the "spirit" of the Arthritis Foundation. Hinck is Jersey Shore race director who got involved with the Arthritis Foundation through its winter Jingle Bell Run/Walk. He helped coordinate the first Jingle Bell Run/Walk in Lake Como, which has expanded to three other sites this year.
