Two more quarterfinals underway
Former girls’ soccer standout Saskia Webber, as well as former basketball and football star Darius Young have advanced to the semifinals of the Princeton High’s Greatest Athlete contest. Webber narrowly defeated former boys’ soccer star and coach Ron Celestin with 52 percent of the vote. Young topped former football and lacrosse star Jim Laverty with 77 percent of the vote.
The final two semifinal spots are now being voted on. In one matchup, former field hockey, basketball and lacrosse star Missy McCloskey (Bruvik) is facing former basketball star Bram Reynolds. In the other matchup, former swimming star Nina Rossi is facing former cross countey and track star Karen Swartz.
