BORDENTOWN — Helen T. Young, 94, of Bordentown Township died Friday at Compassionate Care Hospice in Trenton. She was born in Trenton and had resided in Bordentown since 1954.
She retired from General Motors, Ewing Plant, with over 30 years of service.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles A. Young; her parents, Joseph and Julia Pollick; two brothers, Joseph and Thomas Pollack; three sisters, Anna Cheeseman, Julia Montervino and Margaret Sarkady; and a special niece, Julia Davison.
She is survived by three children and their spouses, Diane and Robert Tilghman of Whiting; Ginger and Ed O’Connor of Bordentown and Charles and Pat Young of Charlotte, N.C.; a brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Gwen Pollick of Jacksonville, Fla.; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed the loving friendship of her caring neighbors, the Brophy family; Juana Creighton and family; Jack and Linda Amantia and many friends at the Bordentown ShopRite.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Bordentown, with burial to follow in the Bordentown Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Egypt Elks Handicapped Children, 105 Lakewood Road, New Egypt, NJ 08533.
