Janet D. Field

   MONROE – Janet D. Field, 85, of the Rossmoor section, died Saturday at the University Medical Center at Princeton.
   Born and raised in Monroe Township, she was a graduate of Hightstown High School and Penn Hall Junior College, Chambersburg, Pa.. She lived in Hightstown for 52 years. She retired from McGraw-Hill in Hightstown in 1988 after 20 years of service.
   She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hightstown for more than 50 years, the Hightstown-East Windsor Historical Society, the PTA (when her children were in school), and a 50-year member of the Hightstown Friday Club, serving at times as president.
   She was an avid bridge player, belonging to several bridge clubs.
   Predeceased by parents Wilton B. and Edrea Dey, daughter Susan Wood, and brother H. Merton Dey, she is survived by her husband of 66 years, Warren E. Field; her children and their spouses, Warren R. and Judith Field of Felton, Del.; Linda Gaspar of East Windsor, and David H. Field and Arline of East Windsor, George P. Field of Hamilton Square, Judith and Charles Johnston of Horseheads, N.Y., Keith and Linda Field of Lake Worth, Fla., Stuart and Kathy Field of Cincinnati, Ohio, Scott and MaryAnn Field of Fairfield, Ohio; special daughter-in-law Barbara Field of Hamilton Square; 36 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Muriel S. Dey of Columbus; niece Elizabeth Kirby of Pemberton; and several cousins.
   Family and friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the A.S. Cole Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St., Cranbury.
   The funeral service and interment will be private.
