Peter J. Pierleonardi

HAMILTON — Peter J. Pierleonardi, 91, died Friday.
    Born in Trenton, he was a Trenton resident for most of his life. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving in the 112th Field Artillery U.S. Engineer 1300 Batt. He was employed by Ben Light Furniture in Trenton for 40 years before retiring. He was a member of The Monteleonese Society and The Musician’s Union of New Jersey and the U.S. Army Band.
    He was predeceased by his parents, Benedetto and Maria (Stecchiotti) Pierleonardi, and sisters, Santina Poli, Mary Pierleonardi, Josephine Innocenzi, Pearl Muccioli and Betty Puca. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Theresa Carlisi Pierleonardi; children, Ronald Pierleonardi of Winchester, Va., Joseph Pierleonardi Sr. of Hamilton, and twin daughters, Sandra Walker of Trenton and Patricia Michalis of Bordentown; daughters-in-law, Dorothy and Linda Pierleonardi; sons-in-law, John Walker and Kenneth Michalis; grandchildren, Peter J., II and his wife Patty of Hamilton, Va., Stacey Kuklish and her husband Collin of Hamilton, Dana Morrow and husband Carty of Sterling, Va., Joseph P. Jr. and his wife Noella of Yardville and Sandy Walker and her partner Jayson Agostini of Tampa, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Andrea and Zach Pierleonardi, Lindsey and Connor Kuklish and Giuseppe, Giovanni and Giuliano Pierleonardi; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews.
    The funeral was held Tuesday from the Gruerio Funeral Home, 311 Chestnut Ave., Trenton. Entombment was in Holy Angels Patio at St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum, 1200 Cedar Lane, Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to Visiting Nurse Association of Mercer County Hospice Program, P.O. Box 441, Trenton, NJ 08603.
