The Milltown Department of Recreation will offer several upcoming events. All trips and programs are open to borough residents and nonresidents.
The annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is planned for Dec. 5. Festivities will begin at 6 p.m. at Milltown Borough Hall. Santa will arrive at 7 p.m.
A bus trip to the Victorian Christmas Candlelight House Tour in Cape May is planned for Dec. 27. Participants, who will tour the homes, inns, hotels and churches of Cape May specially decorated for the holiday season, also will listen to carolers and strolling musicians spreading holiday cheer in the streets. Cost is $50 for adults, $45 for children ages 3-12. Registration deadline is Dec. 5.
The rec department is offering a Dec. 12 visit to “The Miracle of Christmas” show at Sight and Sound Millennium Theatre, Stratsburg, Pa. The bus will depart at 10 a.m. from Borough Hall. Call for price. Show, buffet lunch, bus transportation, tax and gratuity are included.
An excursion to see the 2 p.m. performance of “Shrek” on Broadway is set for Dec. 28. Cost is $155 and includes bus transportation and front-mezzanine seating.
