As the holiday season approaches, Santa Claus always seems to pay a visit to town on top of a shiny red fire truck. The local fire departments volunteer their time and help Santa visit. It is special to see Santa waving and I look forward to it every year. Sometimes I think Santa’s ears must hurt when the loud sirens and horns blast. Santa should tell the fire departments that children, dogs and some people at home can be frightened with the emergency sirens. I think Santa should tell the fire departments to use sleigh bells or less intrusive music to announce his arrival in town. I look forward to seeing Santa again this year; I just wish he would tell the fire trucks to be a bit less scary as they drive through town.
