LAWRENCE: Police say woman stabbed boyfriend

   A Town Court North woman was charged with numerous offenses, including aggravated assault, after she stabbed her boyfriend during a dispute at their home, according to police Lt. Charles B. Edgar.
   Alexandra B. Carls, 29, stabbed Patrick R. Johnson, 26, in the upper right arm with a pocketknife during a fight at their apartment on Town Court North at 12:05 a.m. Dec. Tuesday, Lt. Edgar said.
   Mr. Johnson was in the bedroom, packing his bags, when Ms. Carls removed a pocketknife from her pocketbook, Lt. Edgar said. She stood in the bedroom doorway and held the knife in a threatening manner in an attempt to prevent him from leaving, the lieutenant said.
   Mr. Johnson was taken to Capital Health System at Fuld’s trauma center, where he underwent surgery for his injury and then was later released, Lt. Edgar said.
   Ms. Carls was charged with aggravated assault, criminal restraint, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, Lt. Edgar said. She was released on bail.
