Chabad Center offers holiday events

Chabad Jewish Center, 261 Gravel Hill Road, Monroe, will sponsor several upcoming holiday programs.

A Grand Menorah Lighting and Hanukkah Party will take place at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 21 at the center. The event will feature dignitaries, an Ed Goldberg klezmer solo, doughnuts, latkes, hot cocoa, children’s crafts and more. For more information, call 732-656-1616.

Chabad Women’s Circle and the Miracle of Oil is set for 1:30 p.m. Dec. 23 at the center. There will be an aromatherapy presentation and an inspirational guest storyteller. Hanukkah food will be served. Couvert is $15 per person. To reserve, call 732-656-1616.

The center will offer free buses departing at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 22 from Concordia Shopping Center, Perrrineville Road, to the statehouse in Trenton for a menorah lighting with Gov. Jon Corzine. Reservations are required. Call 732-656-1616 to reserve.

Other menorah lightings in Monroe are set for 3:30 p.m. Dec. 24 at Prospect Plains and Perrineville roads, 6 p.m. Dec. 27 at Franklin Plaza and 3:30 p.m. Dec. 25 at Jamesburg Triangle Park.
