Mr. Sowder, 21, of Spotswood, died Dec. 5, 2008, in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. He was a 2007 graduate of Spotswood High School. He worked at Raceway Park, Old Bridge, for seven years. Surviving are his parents, David and Lillian Sowder; a sister, Dana Sowder; his paternal grandfather, Lindsay Sowder; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. A funeral service was held at St. Mary’s Russian Orthodox Church, Jackson. Cremation was private. Arrangements were under the direction of Spotswood Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
