   MOMS Meet — The MOMS Club of Millstone Township will be holding its next monthly meeting at 10 a.m. Mothers from Millstone and Roosevelt are welcome to come meet the club’s members and learn about this international, nonprofit organization. It offers local, stay-at-home and part-time working moms support and the opportunity to share activities and experiences with other local moms and their children. The group will be discussing low- or no-cost monthly calendar activities for all age groups, ranging from newborns and up. They include local day trips, educational sessions, playgroups, local events and seasonal outings, holiday parties, book club, walking club, community service projects, monthly MOMS Nights Out and monthly meetings. Children are always welcome.

   Chamber Chapter – The Robbinsville chapter of the Mercer Regional Chamber of Commerce will meet at 8 a.m. at Roma Bank headquarters at Washington Town Center on Route 33, and the subject will be collaboration. CPA Michael VanPatten, a partner of Bottom Line Advantage, will share ideas on how smaller companies can join to target common prospects.

   Organic gardening — Karen Breuel of Little Brook Organic Farm and Learning Center in Howell will present “Organic Gardening Demystified” at the meeting of the Allentown Garden Club. She will discuss how to create a healthful, nurturing garden environment in a clear and user-friendly manner, and will provide handouts describing tried and true organic gardening principles. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the Alllentown Methodist Church on Church Street (next to LaPiazza). All are welcome to attend.    Family Fun Day – Co-sponsored by the Plumsted Alcohol and Drug Alliance, the New Egypt Elks and ADACO (Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council of Ocean), the event will be filled with activities designed for families, and especially for children from grades 2 to 5. It will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Elks Lodge in the 100 block of Lakewood Road.

   Time to sing — The Friends and Historical Society of Washington Township will hold its first rehearsal of the Robbinsville Township Community Chorus at 7 p.m. at the Senior Center, adjacent to the library. This group will rehearse historical songs to be performed during the town’s sesquicentennial celebration. All who have a song in their hearts are welcome.

   Pitching in –The Allentown Redbird Softball team is sponsoring a used clothing drive as a fund-raiser. Drop off will be held at the Allentown High School next to the new gym in the senior parking lot. Donations of wearable clothing, handbags, belts, shoes, linens, stuffed animals, hard toys(dolls, trucks ) should be placed in sturdy plastic bags.    Islam speaker – The Brandeis University National Women’s Committee Tri—County Chapter will hold its monthly meeting at the Robbinsville library at 2 p.m. The guest speaker will be Dr. M. Ali Chaudry, who will speak on gender equity and roles of women in Islam. Dr. Chaudry is president of the Center for Understanding Islam and the Founder of the Interfaith Network of North America. He also teaches a course on Islam at Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Rutgers University. The public is invited to this admission-free event. For more information, call (609) 298-4515.

   Mindful Eating is the name of the program at 7 p.m. at the Robbinsville Branch of the Mercer County Library System. Presented by Karen Davison, RN, health educator with Princeton HealthCare System, the program will help teach healthy eating habits.    Dig for Dinos — Children in pre-kindergarten through second grade are invited to join representatives from Mad Science and learn about when dinosaurs lived, what they ate, and how scientists know they existed at the Robbinsville Branch of the Mercer County Library System. Participate in a dig for the “fossil remains” of a mystery dinosaur, and even cast your own T-Rex tooth! The program tuns from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.. To register, call the library at 609-259-2150.
Continuing events
   Tax help in Robbinsville: Every Wednesday, from Feb. 4 through April 15, volunteers from AARP will be available at the Robbinsville Branch, Mercer County Library to help anyone fill out basic income tax forms. Appointments are every hour on the half-hour starting at 9:30 a.m., with the last appointment at 12:30 p.m. The only requirement is that you bring last year’s completed form and this year’s income tax booklet. Registration is a must. You may call or stop at the library to arrange for an appointment. The library’s phone number is 609-259-2150.
   ESL group in Allentown: English As A Second Language classes for adults meet every Thursday from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Upper Freehold Regional Middle School, 27 High St., room 203. A multi-media approach is used to teach English with a concentration on the English necessary for parents with children in school. No class if school is closed for the day.
   Millstone Women’s Club: The Millstone Township Women’s Organization meets every fourth Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. September through May at the Clarksburg Community Center, Stage Coach Road. All Millstone Township women are welcome and encouraged to join.

   Robbinsville Networking: The Robbinsville Business Networking Group meets at 9:30 a.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of the month.
