The new year brought a new mayor for Hillsborough when former Deputy Mayor Frank DelCore accepted the position during Tuesday’s reorganization meeting.
”This is truly an honor,” newly selected Mayor DelCore said, after being nominated by former Mayor Anthony Ferrera and sworn in by Assemblyman Pete Biondi. “I will continue to work in 2009 to make sure our goals come to fruition.”
After the choosing of a mayor for 2009, Mr. Ferrera nominated Committeeman Bob Wagner to serve as Deputy Mayor for a second time.
”I am ready to get to work for the people of Hillsborough,” Mr. Wagner said after he was sworn in by Assemblyman Biondi.
Tuesday’s meeting also included the swearing in Gloria McCauley for her first term, and Mr. Ferrera for his third term.
