Local Chiropractic Physician is Now Certified in Cox Technique

By FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
58% of Chiropractic Physicians report that they perform Cox Technique according to the
National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, but only 1% of chiropractic physicians are actually
certified in these procedures. The National University of Health Sciences now certifies
chiropractic physicians in this technique and builds a referral network of physicians who practice
similarly.
Dr. Joseph D’Angiolillo of North Brunswick, NJ, recently completed the certification
course and proudly announces his inclusion in the 1% of chiropractic physicians who take back
pain seriously. Cox Technique procedures effectively control back pain due to slipped discs,
herniated discs, pinched nerves, scoliosis, facet syndrome, spondylolisthesis, sprain/strain of
back muscles, subluxations, and much more.
Cox Decompression procedures involve a thorough physical and possibly x-ray
examination of the spine, an educated diagnosis, and specific course of treatment. Cox
Technique treatment procedure is designed to allow the following benefits:
            –           Widen the spinal canal,
            –           Reduce pressure on the spinal nerves,
            –           Restore normal motion to the spine,
–                      Improve posture, improve body functions, and create a state of well-being.
Since 1993, the U.S. government has federally funded the research of this technique’s
effectiveness. The studies are conducted cooperatively among many research institutions
including the Palmer College of Chiropractic, Loyola University Strich School of Medicine,
University of Iowa, and National University of Health Sciences. The first project documented the
basic science and mechanism of this successful, proven, safe technique. The second project
compared medical conservative care to chiropractic distraction manipulation care of low back
pain in which this technique was superior for radiculopathy patients and chronic pain patients.
The current third project is a comparison of distraction to medical conservative care of neck pain.
The sponsoring Health Resources and Services Administration is pleased with the collaborative
efforts of the medical and chiropractic institutes and researchers.
Dr. D’Angiolillo now proudly shares this knowledge and skill with his patients. He has
been caring for the central New Jersey Community since 1985.
