Jan. 13 from 6:30-8 p.m. at Tuscany at The Towpath House
NEW HOPE — The Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce will host a public meeting and business card exchange on Jan. 13 from 6:30-8 p.m. at Tuscany at The Towpath House, New Hope’s newest Italian restaurant, 18-20 W. Mechanic St.
There is no fee to participate and both Chamber members and nonmembers are encouraged to attend.
”The Chamber’s Business Card Exchanges, held six times a year at various locations, are important communication opportunities for local merchants and business professionals,” said Louis Licitra, Chamber president. “During these trying economic times, it is imperative that our business community work together, voice opinions and share promotional ideas with each other.”
In addition to various updates from Chamber Board members and volunteers, Donna Boone of the Landmark Towns Project will discuss current and future plans for the river communities of Bristol, Morrisville, Yardley and New Hope.
Representatives from the Lambertville-New Hope Winter Festival will provide the latest details on scheduled events for the annual celebration (Jan. 21-25).
David West of the Bucks County Conference and Visitors Bureau will offer information about opportunities for encouraging year-round tourism to New Hope.
Throughout the meeting, attendees are invited to sample a selection of antipasti and receive a 10 percent discount off their dinner checks for the evening.
Information about the Chamber Board elections also will be disseminated at January’s Business Card Exchange.
According to Mr. Licitra, “Elections for the Chamber Board take place at our annual meeting, held at the end of March. The date and location will be announced shortly. There are several board positions open, and we invite nominations at this time. Any Chamber member in good standing is welcome to become part of the all-volunteer board.”
The Greater New Hope Chamber of Commerce is organized to promote the economic, civil, commercial, cultural, artistic, historical and educational interests of the area. For more information, visit www.NewHopeChamber.com or call 215-862-9990.
