On Tuesday, January 27th at 7 pm, NJ Ghost Hunters Society founder and author L’Aura Hladik will present “ Paranormal Investigating: Capturing Ghosts’ Pictures and Voices” in the Community Room of the Franklin Township Public Library.
L’Aura has been ghost hunting since 1993 and founded the NJ Ghost Hunters Society back in 1998. In addition to hunting in New Jersey, she’s ghost hunted in Savannah, GA, St. Francisville (The Myrtles Plantation), LA, New Orleans, LA, St. Johnsville (Beardsley Castle), NY, Gettysburg, PA, Chicago (Bachelor’s Grove), IL, Nashville, Memphis & Chattanooga, TN and conducted the first NJ Ghost Conference at The Inn at Five Ponds in Vermont in 1999.
Her interest in the paranormal started in childhood with her Dad introducing her to "Twilight Zone" and continued as she finished out the eighth grade living in a haunted house. Hladik’s Great-Grandmother owned one of the wallets made from Antoine LeBlanc’s skin, and L’Aura remembers the terror of running through Phoebe’s bedroom and parts of the Wedgewood Inn when she accompanied her mother to work on school holidays.
Hladik is the author of Ghosthunting: New Jersey (published by Clerisy Press in October 2008) and has written articles for NJ History’s Mysteries on Ringwood Manor and the Antoine LeBlanc murders.
This is a free program but pre-registration is required. For further information, and to reserve a seat, call the Library at 732-873-8700, Ext. #111. The Franklin Township Public Library is located at 485 DeMott Lane in the Municipal Complex.
