Anthony Shanks, 29, of Plainsboro, faces drug-related charges after a traffic stop early Thursday morning on Dey Road. Police observed Mr. Shanks, driving a 2004 Chrysler Sebring, make an improper left turn from Dey Road onto Scotts Corner Road and cross over the line while turning. After stopping the car, police said the smell of burnt marijuana was detected on Mr. Shanks’ clothing and inside the car. An investigation revealed a quantity of marijuana less than 50 grams in the driver’s pants pocket, police said. He also was found to be in possession of rolling papers and a cigar used to make a blunt, police said. He was arrested and charged with marijuana and paraphernalia possession and received motor vehicle summonses for improper turning, uninsured car, possession of a controlled and dangerous substance in a motor vehicle and failure to change his address.
A resident of Quail Ridge Drive reported a case of credit card fraud Jan. 6. Someone applied for a credit card under the victim’s name and made about $1,200 in charges. The case is under investigation.
Anil Yadav, 51, of Plainsboro, was charged with drunken driving after a traffic stop Jan. 1 on Grovers Mill Road. After his car was stopped for speeding and failure to maintain lane, police said, he was found to be under the influence of alcohol. He also was issued traffic summonses for drunken driving in a school zone, reckless driving, speeding and failure to maintain lane.
Danielle Depascale, 23, of Cherry Hill, was charged with drunken riving after a traffic stop early Thursday morning on Scudders Mill Road. Ms. Depascale was stopped for failing to maintain a single lane and throwing debris from the car, police said. Investigation at the scene revealed the driver was intoxicated, police said. She was issued summonses for drunken driving, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane and debris from a motor vehicle.
Kareem Siddiqi, 29, of London, was charged with drunken driving after a traffic stop early Friday morning on northbound Route 1. Mr. Siddiqi was stopped for speeding at 85 mph and was arrested after an investigation found him to be intoxicated, police said. He received motor vehicle summonses for drunken driving, reckless driving, speeding, failure to wear seatbelt and unregistered vehicle.
