History group takes a look at Lambertville

Event is Jan. 18 at 3 p.m. at the Centenary United Methodist Church

The Lambertville Historical Society will present “Lambertville — Then and Now: A Visual Guide to Local Preservation,” by Jeff McVey and Lou Toboz on Jan. 18 at 3 p.m. at the Centenary United Methodist Church, North Union and Jefferson streets.
Following a short business meeting to elect 2009 officers and to take action on bylaws, this new presentation looks at how Lambertville has changed in the last 100 years. Views from 1890 to 1930 will be compared with their current appearances. Featured are the many preserved sites, some of the lost treasures and a few puzzles.
Mr. McVey, president of the Lambertville Historical Society, and Mr. Toboz, trustee and town historian, will be the guides.
The presentation is free to all. Refreshments will be served. No reservations are needed and the building is wheelchair accessible.
